Money Makes the World Go ‘Round

Arguably, money makes the world go ’round, as Liza Minnelli sang in the 1972 Oscar-winning film, Cabaret. The same is probably true of Silicon Valley, but I’m willing to bet that in this high tech hub, it’s the people behind that money that make the Valley go around.
In his 2006 XTech keynote, essayist and programmer, Paul Graham argued: “If you could get the right ten thousand people to move from Silicon Valley to Buffalo, Buffalo would become Silicon Valley.”
He later revised that number to 500 and then to just 30.
Regardless of the number, in this new blog I plan to focus on the people – from engineers and venture capitalists to politicians and PR pros – essentially, the “movers and ’shakers’,” if you will?
And speaking of PR pros, I’m proud to say I’ve joined the ranks of 20 of my Eastwick colleagues who are now blogging – that’s 50% of the agency!
