Just when I thought you couldn’t get any dumber, you go and do something like this… and totally redeem yourself.

Loyal readers of this blog (i.e. Mom and the guy who keeps trying to post links for discount Viagra in the comment section) may have noticed the destitute landscape that has befallen this url of late. It would be a lie to blame the void of commentary on a lack of time or energy, as tempting as it may be. The truth is, as busy as I may have been recently, I haven’t been posting because the world of new media has left me uninspired. I’ve felt listless as the days dragged on and I sifted through posts and articles about Google’s new phone (no wait, a TV), the “Widget War” on Facebook, or how another overpaid band with nothing to lose is taking on the music industry with a digital release. It’s been sucking the life out of me.

But then, out of the darkness comes a glorious beaming light of hope:

What’s next? An endorsement by a flamboyant professional wrestler? Oh, say it’s so Huck. Say it is so.

As ridiculous as you think the video may be, the conversations in the comment section over Huckabee’s fiscal conservatism are actually pertinent to the election. Then there’s the fact that video has been viewed well over half a million times in the last two days. Will it have panned out for him come next November? Not sure. But it’s tough to argue with that kind of exposure. And a whole lot more refreshing than listening to two candidates bicker over whether or not living in a another country as a child is a credit to one’s foreign policy experience. (But really, come on. It couldn’t hurt. Drop it already.)
