It always amazing to me how companies can have a ‘persona,’ seemly without even trying.

That’s one of the many things that fascinates me about HubSpot.

Right from the home page you get the sense you’re in the company of friendly individuals and - with the free tools they offer - in the company of people who know their respective, ’stuff.’

On today’s edition of our Break through the Noise podcast, we’re going to ask Brian about if their persona has been a factor in their rise to becoming a clear influnder in the makerting space - seemingly overnight.

Brian Halligan is co-founder and CEO of HubSpot, an Internet marketing company dedicated to helping small businesses leverage the Internet to get found by qualified prospects and convert more of them into leads and customers.

Previously, Brian worked as a venture partner at Longworth Ventures and held senior sales and marketing roles at Groove Networks and Parametric Technology Corporation.

Brian holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and now frequently lectures at MIT and Harvard on the science of selling and marketing. Brian coined the term “inbound marketing” and is author of an upcoming book entitled Inbound Marketing: Get Found in Google, Blogs, and Social Media to be published by Wiley in fall, 2009.
