Naturally, the witches here were busy on Halloween but a couple of our clients were busy that same day picking up awards.

Congratulations to JDSU and ShoreTel who are basking in the glow of being named to the Silicon Valley Fast 50 list from Deloitte.

The Fast 50 recognizes Bay Area companies for year over year growth in a few different categories.

JDSU made its mark with the big guys in the Billion Dollar Club.

The company has successfully transformed itself over the last five years after the telecom bust in 2001.

Best known for its optical components and test & measurement products, JDSU also has an interesting business in applying optical technology to design.

Its end markets include everything from broadband communication and network testing to laser technologies and pain additives.

We wish CEO Kevin Kennedy continued success as he finishes out his tenure at JDSU this December.

Unified communications player ShoreTel made the cut in the Internet, Media & Entertainment and Communication category.

Besides a lot of raving fans, ShoreTel has picked up industry awards and kudos for its product and recently announced record earnings.

Two former members of the Eastwick client family — Mark Logic and Ruckus Wireless — also were named to the list.

A big hurrah for our fast-moving friends!
