Running With The Fast Crowd

Naturally, the witches here were busy on Halloween but a couple of our clients were busy that same day picking up awards.

 

Congratulations to JDSU and ShoreTel who are basking in the glow of being named to the Silicon Valley Fast 50 list from Deloitte.

 

The Fast 50 recognizes Bay Area companies for year over year growth in a few different categories.

Election 2008 Brings Out The Best In Storytelling

Whatever your politics might be, last night both candidates inspired with their calls for unity and heartfelt nods to their opponent’s contributions to America and love of country.

 

What really reduced me to a blubbering fool was President-elect Obama’s story about the 106 year old black woman, connecting the arc of her life experience to the milestones we’ve accomplished as a country, culminating with the historic election of our first black president.

 

A good story does that — grabs you in the gut and carries you along. I’d like to tip my hat to the speechwriters behind last night’s speeches. Capturing someone’s voice and the essence of a time or issue is no easy feat.

A Geek? No Way! Well, Wait A Sec…
